A little bit about the name from Steven… 

Maïka Ap Danse - Maïka and I went to high school in Haiti together! She was the dance kid and I was the film kid at school. We bonded over our dreams of becoming artists as adults! Maïka is one of the most amazing dancers I know. I loved supporting her during her shows back in the day. Her laughter is contagious and I can’t help but to laugh along with her. She is divine feminine in every sense. 

The Story:

This bracelet was made in collaboration with Studio Baboun, a creative house dancing with innovation, the fantastical, & meaningful storytelling. Studio Baboun is based in NYC with roots in Haiti.
