Haiti Design Co was founded in 2014 with the goal to bring about sustainable development through design, training, and job creation. 

 

The HDC mantra is the well-known Haitian proverb “men anpil, chay pa lou” meaning “many hands make the load light.” 

 

Haiti Design Co is built on the belief that there is commonality between the designer, maker, and consumer, and that when working together we can help lighten each other’s load and bring about lasting positive impact. 

 

 

Stronger Together 

 

In February 2024, Haiti Design Co and 2nd Story Goods officially joined forces. 

 

This means one company housing the same two unique brands you love! And a dedication to growing fair wage work for over 150 artisans in Haiti!

 

All HDC and 2SG orders are now filled from our US warehouse in Florida. You can order any combination of goods from both brands on this site (wholesale.2ndstorygoods.com) and on Faire and the order will ship all together. 

 

We’re combining the strengths of both companies and putting our “many hands” together to continue to serve our customers and to continue bringing the makers of both brands to market!
